Unless you've been living under a rock the last week, you'll know that no Lie To Me* fan has given up on the show like FOX has. Basically, there IS hope for Lie To Me*. Fans can be powerful - and there are examples of fans changing things for their favourite shows throughout TV history!

SAVE LIE TO ME: 

In case you haven’t heard the news, FOX has, as of last night, officially cancelled Lie to Me. It’s a very sad day for all of us, but I refuse to give up all hope just yet. Lie to Me is a good show! And there is hope that it could get picked up by another network! Now, that chance may not be very high, but it DOES happen. Look at SouthLAnd, they got cancelled and then picked up by TNT. So there is hope! But in order to increase our chances, we need as many people as possible to send letters to various networks encouraging them to pick up Lie to Me!

Things to mention in your letters:

  • Why you love the show
  • The dedicated fan base it will draw in
  • The ratings
  • The talent
  • Who you are (Fan demographics)
  • Our Emmy nomination
  • Our People’s Choice Awards two years running

Remember, you’re writing this to the networks. They want to know what’s in it for them! SELL THE SERIES!

... Sending e-mails is great, but actual snail-mail seems to be the most effective method when dealing with things like this, so I recommend you send as many snail mail letters as you can.

An interesting and insightful additional comment by Anonymous, that hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet I don't think (~ Sonia, SLTM)

Influential data
Be sure in your letters to include demographic data that has meaning to the networks:
age, sex, married, children, general income level, etc and that you are not a Neilsen ratings family. Networks are interested in ad dollars, period. If crap sells, they air crap. Tim Roth needs our support, so, get to writing, you know, pick up a pen or pencil and make marks on paper? Remember postage stamps.

Lie to me is one of the best series I have watched in a long time . This time Fox has definitely got it wrong . Maybe they should try selling quality programs like Lie To Me to other networks and saving all the reality junk for their own. I found Lie To Me on Netflix and I am so glad they were able to pick it up. Tim Roth is perfect for the role. His weirdness fits the well with the production.

PLEASE PUT LIE TO ME BACK ON AIR AND DO NOT CHANGE THE CAST THEY ARE THE MOST AMAZING ACTORS I HAVE EVER SEEN. i NEVER watch tv, ever, hardly. I actually havent even got a cable package, I only continuiously watch Lie To Me throughout the last year as the ONLY show i watch. If you make another season it will get twice as much attention and buzz because it is AMAZING. PLEASE PUT IT BACK ON AIR|!!

I could not agree more with Karen Crooks! Tim Roth IS Cal Lightman, Kelli Williams IS Foster, Brendan Hines IS Loker, Monica Raymund IS Torres, Hayley Mc Farland IS Emily. PLEASE... keep the original cast, and for the LOVE OF GOD someone get that show back on the air! I don't even watch tv but for news, and the first show I got truly interested in and loved, fox SHUTS IT DOWN. DAMN IT FOX. Please, don't mess this up. NETFLIX, FOX, someone, please, pick this show back up. I mean of all shows to cancel you guys cancel Lie To Me? Are you serious? Please wake up from your nightmare and "Let there be lightman!"

Beyond gutted that FOX made THE BIGGEST MISTAKE cancelling this awesome show.I got the DVD's and they have NEVER been out of my machine since.I know it's a long shot, but it has been done before when one show transfers to another station. Neighbours in Australia started out on 1 channel and then went to another. It's still on now some 25 years later!!! This AWESOME show deserves a proper ending. The cast deserve it and the viewing public deserve it. I just hope somewhere someone has the insight to give us what we rightfully deserve. I also hope that ALL the cast members would be up for it if a campaign was successful, because Tim Roth IS Cal, Kelli Williams IS Foster, Brendan Hines IS Loker, Monica Raymund IS Torres, Hayley Mc Farland IS Emily. There is no space for imitataions IMO. I'll be interested to see if I get any joy, but if you don't try, you don't know. Wish me luck. Thankyou for your attention.
